Yesterday at a premiere event for What If? Season 2 Marvel announced a new animated series called Eyes of Wakanda for Disney+. The animated show is expected to debut at some point in 2024, alongside fellow Marvel animated series X-Men ’97 and Spider-Man: Freshman Year. At this time there are very few details other than a brief synopsis below. For example, is this now a replacement for the previously announced live-action series based in Wakanda? We got the information through ComicBook.Com.
That series was reportedly in development as long as Wakanda Forever has been on the go. However, nothing has been heard since. Let’s take a look at that brief synopsis for Eyes of Wakanda.
‘Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts. This is their story.’
After this is their story anyone else just expect to hear the Law and Order theme? No, okay, just me then.

According to those present the serries will have a quite unique art style. The words hyper stylized were used, and some claim they think they saw Okoye in the small glimpses they got.
Marvel really has dropped the ball until recently on the animated front. There really has been every little and What If? Season 1 was pretty good fun. However, that does appear to be changing now. What If? Season 2 releases soon and we also have three new animated show to look forward to next year. The one I’m most eager to see is X-Men 97′ but as always, I’ll give them all a try as they drop. I get the feeling Eyes of Wakanda could be an anthology series, but that’s just a guess and not information we know.
What do you think of this news as Marvel announces a new animated series called Eyes of Wakanda for Disney+? Thoughts below as usual.
