In case you missed it, Dolph Lundgren is in the DC Extended Universe’s only release in 2018, Aquaman.
Yes, he will have powers. No, he cannot smell crime. (For all you Always Sunny fans out there…)
Lundgren plays King Nereus in the film, though pretty extreme changes have been made to his character. In the comics, King Nereus was “intended” to Queen Mera, though she fell in love with Aquaman instead while on a mission to assassinate him. Their new relationship… would be pretty weird if they were still “intended.”
Talking to Las Vegas Review Journal, Lundgren revealed that Nereus will be Mera’s father in the Aquaman film:
“It is good to be king. Basically, I try to keep the peace down there along with Amber Heard, who plays my daughter [Mera]. She’s trying to convince me to join the right side. Then you have Nicole Kidman as Aquaman’s mother. We’re trying to avoid war between the surface dwells and the people of Atlantis.”

Whelp, there are a few plot details for you in that quote as well! You’re welcome.

Aquaman swims into theaters on December 21, 2018.
