Are These Two Villains Confirmed For Spider-Man: No Way Home? Potential SPOILERS

Spider-Man: No Way Home Post Credit Scenes - One Great, One Controversial - No SPOILERS | Barside Buzz

Empire‘s new No Way Home featured magazine is out today folks. In it we surprisingly get potential confirmation of two villains. Potential SPOILERS below.

secrecy on Spider-Man: No Way Home

It feels like Sandman and The Lizard were confirmed for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Specifically played by Rhys Ifans and Thomas Hayden Church. Now, it will be no surprise if you have been following the rumors about No Way Home, or you had a keen enough eye on the last trailer. Both Sandman and The Lizard were glimpsed in that first teaser trailer. However, it’s cool to see that both Hayden Church and Ifans were mentioned as reprising those roles. Whilst the focus of Empire‘s coverage doesn’t spoil any other details, both actors are named in the piece as potentially appearing in the movie. As pointed out in our comments, it’s not direct confirmation, but it feels very much like it was information already out there.

It was hard not to know both Sandman and Lizard were in the movie, but it’s cool to know Ifans and Hayden Church are back. It’s also worth noting that the magazine also mentions Jamie Foxx’s return as Electro, however I think we all took Foxx’s own words as confirmation. In fact, Foxx’s now deleted posts were the first step we had in unravelling the mysteries of this threequel. That leaves the Spider-Men, (Maguire and Garfield) plus Charlie Cox and Willem Dafoe’s Goblin as still to be confirmed or not. Though, given the pumpkin bomb and a few leaked images, I think we can call Dafoe locked.  Given how correct all the leaks have been for No Way Home though, there really is no doubt in fans minds now, is there?

It is rumored by insiders that the next trailer to release will feature Tobey Maguire’s return. Whether it will also reveal Garfield, Cox, or Defoe is yet to be established? As for when that trailer may happen, who knows? Honestly I’ve heard so many rumors about the trailer I have no idea. I guess when it drops, you’ll see it, whether that be tomorrow or next month? However it is pretty clear that a second No Way Home trailer is ready for Sony to just press the go button.

Given the accuracy of the leaks, I think it would be wise to just double down at this point. Show the remaining villains and the other Spider-Men in the trailer. Though, I personally think we should be made to wait and wonder on Cox’s Matt Murdoch.

Are Sandman and The Lizard confirmed for Spider-Man: No Way Home with the original actors, or are you still not buying it. As always, leave any thoughts below. Oh and to those who gave me feedback in the comments. You were right, I was wrong, apologies to anyone I pi**ed off. My bad, Cam.
