Oh, yeah. The age of the ‘90s reboots continues. Even better, the era of bringing kid-friendly horror stuff back is returning. First, we had Goosebumps, then we had Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (though that looks legitimately scary as hell), and now we have the reboot of Are You Afraid of the Dark, which comes in the form of a miniseries.

Nickelodeon has just released an oh-so-brief teaser for the series, and in it, we get a look at the Midnight Society — the group of kids who meet to tell these scary stories — as well as a whole bunch of quick shots of the stories being told.

I will say, this one seems to be somewhere in between Goosebumps and Scary Stories. Whereas Goosebumps leans heavily into the kid-friendly aspects, Scary Stories leans more into the horror. Based on this limited tease, Are You Afraid of the Dark splits the difference, looking kid-friendly, yet fittingly eerie.
