Arrow star and currently undefeated pro wrestler Stephen Amell will be returning to the squared circle in a couple of months. Having debuted in the WWE ring back in 2015 at the SummerSlam pay-per-view, Amell is found himself embroiled in a heated rivalry with one Christopher Daniels.
In 2015, a storyline took place between Cody Rhodes, who was wrestling under the name Stardust, and Amell that began with Rhodes calling him out and pushing Amell, who was seated in the front row at a Monday Night Raw live event. Amell channeled his inner Oliver Queen as he kept over the barrier and top rope and pummeled Rhodes. This lead to a tag team event at SummerSlam where Amell and his tag team partner Neville defeated Rhodes and Wade Barrett. In return, Rhodes eventually guest starred on Arrow as Derek Sampson.
This time around, Amell teamed up with The Young Bucks from New Japan Pro Wrestling and was featured in their YouTube series Being The Elite. It was there, on August 6th, that the match against Daniels was announced. Amell went on to post on his social media regarding the upcoming showdown.
The match will take place at an event titled All In, which is the brainchild of Rhodes and The Young Bucks and is being billed as one of the biggest indie wrestling events in recent history. It will be held on September 1st at the Sears Center in Chicago. Meanwhile, the seventh season of Arrow will premiere October 15th on The CW.
