Kung fu films are coming back to screens from Tiger Style Media.
Art of Eight Limbs is the first of four films launched this fall that showcases the wonderful action sequences and fighting styles of the 70s, 80s, and 90s kung fu action movies.
The film stars Ludi Lin (Power Rangers, Mortal Kombat), Grace Vorananth (Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Pachara Montra), Sahajak Boonthanakit (Only God Forgives, No Escape), Vithaya Pansringarm (Only God Forgives, The Last Executioner), and with Nicholas Hammond (The Sound of Music, Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles).
Robert Grasmere directed the movie, which was based on a screenplay by H. Daniel Gross, Ryan Jaeger, and Louis Spiegler.

In this action-packed thriller from a producer of Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood, Ludi Lin stars as a CIA data analyst and part-time kickboxer. Sent on a mission to Myanmar, he must infiltrate a martial arts tournament that serves as a cover for an arms dealer auctioning VX Nerve Gas. His objective: deliver a critical detection device to allies. However, as the mission spirals out of control, he is forced to confront the world’s most ruthless fighters, standing as the last line of defense against a time-ticking global threat.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with actors Ludi Lin and Nicholas Hammond about kickboxing, Thailand, non-fighting sequences, and working overseas.
Ludi Lin is a Chinese-Canadian actor best known for playing Zack Taylor in the 2017 Power Rangers reboot film and Liu Kang in the 2021 Mortal Kombat reboot. He also played the underwater warrior Murk in Aquaman in 2018. His other credits included Marco Polo, Black Mirror, The Ghost Bride, and a recurring role in Kung Fu.
Nicholas Hammond is an Australian-American actor who started his young career with the 1963 film Lord of the Flies and then as Friedrich von Trapp in The Sound of Music. He starred as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the 1970s television series The Amazing Spider-Man and in its 1977 film Spider-Man and the two sequels. In the 1980s, he made numerous guest starring appearances, including The Love Boat, Magnum, P.I., Murder, She Wrote, Falcon Crest, and Dallas. In 2019, he played Sam Wanamaker in Quentin Tarantino’s film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Art of Eight Limbs is part of a kung fu double feature with The Lockdown in select theaters on Friday, August 16. It will also be released digitally on Tuesday, August 20.
