Artist Draws Taika Waititi as Boba Fett

With word coming a few days ago that James Mangold (Logan) will bring a Boba Fett anthology film to the big screen, casting suggestions by fans is underway. Thor Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is the first to be given the honor, as you can see in the post below, comic book author, Tom Taylor, has shared a drawing of Waititi as the famed bounty hunter that was drawn by comic book artist, Phil Noto.

Waititi does look pretty good as Boba Fett, and I think it’s inevitable that Waititi and Star Wars will eventually cross paths in one way or the other. I think it would be a better idea to have him write and/or direct a film, but I could see this casting working, depending on what they set the film within the Star Wars timeline. Boba Fett was thought to have been in his mid-thirties at the time of Return of the Jedi, with Waititi being 42, for him to play the character they would have to set the film after Return of the Jedi, and doing this would likely eliminate Han Solo from appearing in the film. I would say it is much more likely for Lucasfilm to set the Boba Fett movie between episodes three and four.

What are your thoughts on this, could Waititi be Boba Fett? Let us know in the comments down below!
