As We See It Official Trailer: A Series That Shows Life As An Adult On The Spectrum

Being an adult is hard, but it’s harder for some than it is for others. Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for As We See It. It shows how hard being an adult is for those on the spectrum. This dramedy series will be coming to Prime Video in January.

The Synopsis Of As We See It

A coming-of-age dramedy with a fresh perspective.

As We See It follows Jack (Rick Glassman), Harrison (Albert Rutecki), and Violet (Sue Ann Pien), twentysomething roommates on the autism spectrum, as they strive to get and keep jobs, make friends, fall in love, and navigate a world that eludes them. With the help of their families, aide, and sometimes even each other, these roommates experience setbacks and celebrate triumphs on their own unique journeys towards independence and acceptance. Series stars Glassman, Rutecki, and Pien all identify as living on the autism spectrum. The series also stars Sosie Bacon as their aide Mandy, Chris Pang as Violet’s brother Van, and Joe Mantegna as Jack’s father Lou.

For some viewers, this series will hit really close to home. But I feel like so many of us can relate to these three characters in many ways. Making friends as an adult is already hard enough and even just stepping outside can be a challenge. I love the scene where Jack tells the woman that she “tanked that hand.” Also, when he says that he’s spent his life trying to hide his autism, his aide tells him that he is a beautiful person. Jack tells her that it makes him want to throw up. I would love to have such an honest friend. A bit harsh, but I want to know if I am making someone uncomfortable. Sappy crap can make me want to vomit too. This Amazon Original will be released on January 21.
