The Asia Society Southern California hosted its highly significant annual gala at The Skirball Cultural Center, a momentous occasion that celebrated numerous Asian visionaries and paid a special tribute to the upcoming Olympic sports this summer in Paris.

Five individuals received the organization’s Visionaries Awards include:

*Violinist and co-founder of Tonic Ray Chen for “Music Visionary,”

*Executive vice-chairman and CEO of New World Development Adrian Cheng for “Art Visionary,”

*Managing principal, global head of capital markets and co-chair of alternative investments of Gaw Capital Partners Christina Gaw for “Real Estate Visionary,”

*Chairman of Sumitomo Corp. Masayuki Hyodo for “Business Visionary,”

*Cherng Family Director’s chair of Center for Integrative Oncology at City of Hope Dr. Richard Lee for “Medical Visionary.”

Also, the gala event had a special sports tribute in anticipation of the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics, with a special appearance by the chair of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, Gene Sykes, and the current manager of former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Dave Roberts.
