Aubrey Plaza’s Agatha: Coven of Chaos character is rumored to be both powerful and well known. That’s the latest Barside Buzz around the upcoming Disney+ show. You can see three separate regular Marvel insiders all getting similar information about Plaza’s as yet unnamed character. Officially all we know is that Plaza is in the show, that’s it. We will start with CWGST‘s social media post.

Stronger than Scarlet Witch is a pretty powerful person considering Wanda is likely the most powerful character we’ve met in the MCU yet. Especially the version of her we saw grow into in both WandaVision and Multiverse of Madness.

Interesting, and I could begin to consider a few Marvel comic book characters at this point. However, this last claim threw me a bit.

Non comic readers would know the character. Geez, that for me does not leave a lot of options. I’m pretty sure non comic fans would never have heard the name Tony Stark prior to the promotion for Iron Man. So could we be talking a name that surpasses Marvel itself?
I mean, Satan aka Mephisto, would definitely qualify. Cthon, I’m less sure any non comic fans would know that name, depends on what they are into? The Wicked Witch of the West, Oz/MCU crossover confirmed? Hermione Granger….? Those are the kind of names I’m thinking when it comes to being known by non-Marvel fans. Therefore, I wonder how bold a claim this really is and whether that really is the case or not? I guess we will find out.

What is clear is that Plaza’s character is a major component of Agatha: Coven of Chaos, perhaps even the main villain, or at least antagonist. There are also rumors from insiders that say Plaza’s character will be back in the MCU once Agatha has ended. Which again, I can think of many comic book characters who would fit that bill. I’m just a bit stumped by Daniel RPK’s claim above. Perhaps it will make sense once we see the show?
Maybe it’s Samantha from Bewitched, or Endora?
