Ava Duvernay Confirms The Furies And Darkseid For The New Gods

While Joker, Birds of Prey, and The Batman seem to get most of the attention for upcoming DC films, Ava DuVernay’s New Gods has now thrown its hat in the ring to the most anticiated of upcoming projects. Ava Duvernay will direct and co-write the film along with comic writer Tom King.

Today Duvernay has confirmed Via her Twitter account, the appearance of The Furies, and not only that, she also confirmed that Darkseid himself will appear in the film. This news should really get the DC fanbase exicted and you canc heck out the posts below.

The Furies share the same home planet as Darkseid and are extremely loyal to him, and as most of you already know, Darkseid is both extremely powerful and dangerous, on a mission to emilimate free will. As we have seen around the interwebs, Zack Snyder had plans to bring Darkseid to the screen for the first time, for better or worse those plans didn’t get to play out, but DuVernay has plans that should get the DC fanbase excited.
