Avatar: The Way of Water, nominated for four Academy Awards® including Best Picture, is now the third highest-grossing film of all-time worldwide, and thanks to the many fans all over the planet, it has become a global phenomenon.
Avatar: The Way of Water ($2,243.2 million global to date) passed “Titanic” ($2,242.8 million global to date) to become the third highest-grossing film of all-time globally. “Avatar: The Way of Water” passed “Jurassic World” to become the ninth highest-grossing film of all-time domestically. Globally after its tenth weekend, Avatar: The Way of Water has grossed an estimated $2,243.2 million ($657 million Domestic and $1,586 million International).

James Cameron has three of the top four highest-grossing global movies of all time – “Avatar” (#1), “Avatar: The Way of Water” (#3) and “Titanic” (#4).
Avatar: The Way of Water is the highest-grossing film of all-time in France, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Rep, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Turkey, UAE, Cambodia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Colombia and Puerto Rico.
The Walt Disney Studios has released 3 of the top 5 global releases of all-time – “Avengers: Endgame” (#2), “Avatar: The Way of Water” (#4), and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (#5). It is also now home to “Avatar” (#1) and holds the international distribution rights to “Titanic” (#3), which round out the top 5. Looking at the top 10 global releases of all time, Disney makes up more than half the list with “Avengers: Endgame” (#2), “Avatar: The Way of Water” (#4), “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (#5), “Avengers: Infinity War” (#6), “The Lion King” (Live-Action #9), and “The Avengers” (#10).
