Avengers 5 will take time, that’s according to Marvel boss Kevin Feige who spoke with Collider recently. Feige was asked about when we might see the next big scale team up, i.e. Avengers 5? Feige never gave any details. However, he did warn that it takes time, that time is needed to begin a new story before you think about putting everyone together.
“I think we want there to be a reasonable amount of time from the Endgame to start a new saga, which is already underway and already started,” said Feige. “And then you need time, as you did in Phase 1, to build that saga before you start bringing everyone together.”
Of course things are a little different than they were back in Phase 1 of the MCU. In Phase 1, everyone got a solo movie, Iron Man got two, and then they made Avengers. However Avengers looks rather low key now when compared to what Infinity War and Endgame were. The stakes have been raised. Where once we saw Civil War as Avengers 2.5, now those smaller team up’s seem more common. We can look to Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, and The Marvels as easily being considered team up movies.

This phase is due to finish with Fantastic Four in theatres. So we kinda already knew there would be no Avengers 5 in Phase 4. However, there are two event Disney+ shows coming. I feel like Secret Invasion, and the rumored Young Avengers will be like event shows in the way Avengers is an event movie.
Current big bad, Kang the Conqueror could be the villain for Avengers 5, or he could be dealt with in another film begore that happens? The next Avengers movie we might get is Secret Wars? We know Marvel Studios is developing that project, we just don’t know how far out it is? Perhaps Secret Wars is Avengers 6, or not even considered an Avengers movie? As expected, the one man who knows all these answers is playing coy. However, I agree with him that there is no need at all to rush into Avengers 5.
