The newest addition to Disney Parks is soon to open to the public called Marvel Land. The Avengers Campus will open on Friday in Disney California Adventure Park. The ceremony streamed live yesterday and it covered a lot of information.
The Avengers Campus Tour
With Friday as our host, we get to see things like the quinjet, the Spiderman ride, and all of the heroes. The campus has the Pym Test Kitchen and 2 shawarma carts. The kitchen had some great things, but I wasn’t fond of the chicken sandwich, which was a big piece of chicken in a tiny bun. There’s a reason the bun covers an entire sandwich. The proper meat-to-bread ratio is important, but the Pym Test Kitchen did look pretty cool. Lastly, they have the Ancient Sanctum filled with different colored lights and a portal.
The Ceremony had Kevin Feige, Jon Favreau, Anthony Mackie, and Paul Rudd, who still ages at a snail’s pace. Also, we got to see all the Marvel heroes. Anthony Mackie introduced the campus’ Captain America, Sam Wilson.
I love Disney, but their parks aren’t an interest of mine. I’m more of a thrill seeker and while the Disney Parks are beautiful, immersion isn’t high on my list of entertainment needs. I think it’s great that people enjoy immersion so much and Disney does it so well.
There was also a mistake made in the video. When Brie Larson was on camera, she said she carried a quinjet in Avengers: Endgame. She didn’t, it was the Benatar she carried, the Guardians’ second ship since the Milano was destroyed. Oh well!
