We all knew this was coming. As I sat in the theater watching the closing minutes of Avengers: Infinity War, I knew there was no way they’d let half of their superhero team fall victim to Thanos — at least not permanently. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo may have tried to fool us with their talk of long-standing deaths, but I always figured Avengers: Endgame would be the movie where we’d see these consequences hit.

Now, it looks like all rumors surrounding the Avengers attempting to undo the Decimation that Thanos wreaked on the universe with a single snap are no longer rumors. The official Disney Australian site for the film recently posted a synopsis, and it kinda throws everything out there.

Below is the official synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:

After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.

So, what do you think? Are you surprised by this in any way, shape or form? While I can see the argument that this is a spoiler, I think it’s very clear it’s not the “what” but the “how” of it all. With at least a handful of a potential ways they can undo the snap, we can only guess how they go about fixing this mess and which deaths will ultimately stick.
