Avengers: Endgame Poster Reveals New U.S. Release Date, Film Shot Entirely In IMAX

This morning, Marvel Studios set the internet ablaze with its first trailer for what will likely be its biggest feature to date: Avengers: Endgame. That’s right, good ol’ Avengers 4 finally has a name, and while it may be slightly underwhelming simply because of all the speculation that went into this damn thing, it’s still a solid, fitting one.

But that wasn’t all Marvel Studios did. They also sent us a shiny new poster to gander at. Of course, they have to utilize the Decimation motif, with the Avengers logo disintegrating into nothingness — not unlike how a good number of our heroes did at the tail end of Avengers: Infinity War. But that wasn’t the only thing the poster showed off.

Yup. Folks in North America will no longer have to wait until May to see the film, as it has been pushed up to April 26. This isn’t exactly a huge surprise, as Avengers: Infinity War was pushed up similarly so that there could be a near-simultaneous worldwide release of the movie. We’ve honestly been waiting for this announcement and would have been surprised if it didn’t come about.

In other exciting news, just as Avengers: Infinity War was shot entirely using IMAX cameras, so too was Avengers: Endgame. So if you can, the optimal way to check out this impending masterpiece is in IMAX theaters.
