Avengers & Incredible Hulk Screenwriter Zak Penn Working On Unknown MCU Film

Zak Penn has been an incredibly busy champion of Marvel material. Ever since X2: X-Men United, he’s been hard at work putting together stories for Marvel content for the big screen. His films include Elektra, X-Men: The Last Stand, The Incredible Hulk, and The Avengers.

There’s word that he’s done some work on the upcoming Suicide Squad 2 (at least in treatment form), and while he may have dabbled in DC with that one, it sounds like he hasn’t turned in his Marvel card just yet.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Penn revealed his intention to do one more Marvel movie.

“I think I’m probably gonna come back. I think I’m gonna do one more Marvel, one more project in the Marvel Universe. I’m about to start doing, but…I have to check and see if I’m allowed to say what it is. For the most part I had a long run on comic book movies and I was kind of eager to, you know, just cause it can be really crushing, you know, at times…”

Obviously, there’s no word on what that film could be. Beyond Avengers 4, there are only two official films on their slate — Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. With that in mind, his own film could be absolutely anything (though likely not either of those movies).
