Avengers: Infinity War To Visit Thanos’ Homeworld Of Titan During Film

We have got a lot of great news from the images and interviews in Entertainment Weekly. One of these reveals is that part of the film Avengers: Infinity War will be taking place on the home planet of Thanos, played by Josh Brolin, called Titan.

Last summer at both D23 and San Diego Comic-Con fans and press, who were treated to an exclusive preview of Avengers: Infinity War, raved about a certain scene where Thanos uses the Infinity Gauntlet to grab a moon out of the sky and throw it at Tony Stark. A lot of people had thought that the scene took place in Xandar, home of the Nova Corps and location of the purpler Space Stone that was recovered in the film Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marvel Studios via Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that the planet in question is, in fact, Titan and not Xandar. Which first appeared in comics in Marvel Comics’ Iron Man #55 in February of 1973 and was created by Jim Starlin and Mike Friedrich. Along with the confirmation Entertainment Weekly has also released an image of Thanos reaching back with the Infinity Gauntlet getting set to throw the moon. You can check it out here!

Here is the description of the image:

“What do you do with the mad that you feel? If you’re Thanos, you use the purple and blue Infinity Stones to rip a moon out of orbit and hurl it against the ground like a dinner plate. While fans have speculated that this may be devastation on Xandar, where the Nova Corps was guarding the purple power stone from the Orb, Marvel tells EW this shot is actually on Titan, the ruined home world of Thanos.”

If Thanos is throwing moons around the Avengers are in a lot of trouble, Tony Stank especially as this image depicts a moon being thrown at him. Shots like this definitely have me and many other fans very excited about this film.

What do you think of the image? Does Iron Man stand a chance? Let us know in the comment section below!
