Avi Arad Spider-Man: No Way Home Rumor – The Evidence

Tom Holland Comments On New Spider-Man Trilogy Talk

Over the last 24 hours the internet has seen an Avi Arad Spider-Man: No Way Home rumor hit which seems to have gained some traction. However, some other insiders disagree. What is this rumor?

Check out the tweet below.

Now, normally I’d just dismiss this off the bat. However a Reddit thread Here, seems to be suggesting they have evidence these posts originated from someone who works for GWW with the online handle AjepArts. That would appear to give some credibility, to those rumors as this source has had some details about No Way Home correct already.

If you cannot track the gist of what is being said above here is a summary.

Essentially the claim here is that that some of the most talked about fan criticisms from Home coming and No Way Home were directly down to Avi Arad of Sony. The claim is that Homecoming originally has several Avengers cause the boat accident and that it was Spider-Man who swooped in and saved people. Now, that does not quite fit for me with the rest of the story we are being shown in Homecoming. The other claim is that Arad prevented Marvel from using Uncle Ben in the nightmare illusion sequence from Far From Home. To me it seems too convenient to blame one person for two things fans didn’t like about those movies. Honestly, I never had an issue with either the boat scene or the fact that Ben has not appeared yet, so I didn’t even though people had issue with those parts.

However, who am I to say this is right or wrong? I don’t have any Marvel sources to ask, yet. The claim here is that Pascal signed the new deal with Marvel without Arad. Thus, giving Marvel Studios complete control this time around. However as another Insider, ViewerAnon points out, Marvel Studios had creative control on the other two movies as well. Unless that was a lie?

There’s the evidence folks. Essentially we have two sources claiming to have insider Marvel info disagreeing with one another. I’ll leave it you to decide which one to believe. Share any thoughts about this Avi Arad Spider-Man: No Way Home rumor below as always.
