Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do when Mike Lowry and Marcus Burnett come for you? Run. At least that’s what happens in the latest set photos from the set of Bad Boys 3 AKA Bad Boys For Life onscreen reunion of Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. The long-awaited sequel has been gestating since before director Michael Bay became synonymous with the Transformers franchise.
Bay directed 1995’s Bad Boys and its sequel Bad Boys 2 way back in 2003. That was when we last saw the Miami Detectives team up and take a bite out of crime. I recall it being a fun ride. These films came out before there was a Rotten Tomatoes. So it is a bit surreal having fond memories of the duo and then checking the fresh score for Bad Boys 2, which sits at 22% currently. Well, at least the audience score is 78%. That’s something, right? I may need to admit I have a favorite bad movie and it happens to be Bad Boys 2. No pun intended.

The third film in the series Bad Boys For Life will not have the explosive directing talent from Michael Bay, but instead will be directed by the duo of Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah who may be most known for directing the upcoming Beverly Hills Cop 4. That’s two action comedies in a row. Maybe next up is Rush Hour 4? I’m down to watch it. Until then, we can at least look forward to a Bad Boys 3 trailer at some point soon.
