So far we know next to nothing about what is coming in 2020 for Marvel. We think Black Widow which is already casting is a definite for next year and the other movie strongly guessed at is Eternals, which we have heard casting rumors for even if nothing too solid. Now we may have an idea of what else may be coming in 2020 from Marvel.
Following Disney’s presentation at Cinema Con yesterday all those who were in attendance are sharing all the info they picked up for the presentation and most of this we have covered here already at LRM or will do throughout the day. However, in Deadline‘s coverage they also mentioned that despite no new information about Marvel’s slate for 2020, they had heard rumor that the two movies that will be released in 2020 were Black Widow and Doctor Strange 2. Here is the quote
“Rumors have been that it’s Black Widow standalone movie and Doctor Strange 2.”
No mention of Eternals here and yet from our point of view it looks like the development of Eternals is further ahead than Doctor Strange 2, but maybe we just haven’t heard about this till now? We know that Doctor Strange 2 was coming, as Kevin Feige essentially told us this himself, but when it is coming is certainly new.

Until we hear something more official treat this as you would any other rumor, but Deadline are normally pretty solid with release date rumors so take from that what you will. Would you be happy with just Doctor Strange 2 and Black Widow next year, or are you hoping Eternals makes 2020 as well? Sound off in the usual spot below.
