Barney Is Back in Resident Evil Village! Mod Is Put In The Demo

Resident Evil Village will be released in just a few days and people are already busy making mods and they are going back to a classic, Barney the Dinosaur. He was the main character on a PBS show, Barney and Friends back in the 90s and is still haunting us to this day. Some loved this purple dinosaur growing up, but I found him to be very creepy and yet lame at the same time.

Resident Evil Village Barney Mod

Barney As The Enemy

I can’t be the only one to think so because Barney and Friends came out in 1992 and his first appearance as an enemy mod was in Doom that came out in 1993. I remember the game fondly. My dad used to play Doom and he would let me watch. Barney has also made his appearance in other games including Resident Evil 2 as Mr. X. Additionally, they added his theme song.

The Newest Barney Mod

Capcom recently hosted its final Resident Evil Village demo and Twitter user Marcos RC shared the Barney mod substituting Resident Evil Village enemies in the cellar of Castle Dimitrescu. I really appreciate the throwback and love the effort put in. There is a Barney movie in the works that will be produced by Daniel Kaluuya. I will not be seeing it.

Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7 and will be available for the PS4 and PS5.

How do you feel about Barney the dinosaur? Did you enjoy the mod for Resident Evil Village? Please let us know in the comments below.
