We got another spicy Batman rumor for you all here. This time, we got a report from Batman-On-Film that discusses the possibility of Ben Affleck giving one more final shot for Affleck in the role of Bruce Wayne.

Even by them, this is to be classified as a rumor, but they heard that Affleck would be given one “last hurrah” in either Flashpoint or Suicide Squad 2. Basically, he’ll be given one last outing as the character, and it will likely also serve as a way for fans to have some closure with his character.

Again, this should be taken as nothing but a rumor, as we don’t even know if and when the Flashpoint film will happen. Additionally, while Suicide Squad 2 does seem poised to begin production later this year with Gavin O’Connor in the director’s chair, we have no idea whether or not the studio would mandate a role for Batman just so Affleck could wave goodbye. Given their new, streamlined strategy, it would seem to go against everything they’re working towards.

All in all, I think I’d rate this one low on the believability scale. It sounds like a comment anyone could have made up, and even if it does come from a reliable source, it almost sounds like the type of idea that would have been mentioned in passing before being fully thought out.

Would you like to see Ben Affleck be given a final hurrah by the studio, or, should they replace him, should they just cut him off quickly? Let us know your thoughts down below!

Affleck’s ‘last hurrah’ as it were should be ‘Justice League 2′ then he can quit. Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ is rumored to be a stand alone film anyway (not connected to the DCEU) so they can get Gyllenhaal or whomever for that.

“one “last hurrah” – “one last outing as the character”

Don’t really feel he’s had ANY hurrah (except the 5 minutes in BvS). Otherwise, can’t really say he was a “character”. In fact, of all the movie (and even TV) Batman renditions, his has to rank at the bottom of the barrel.

That isn’t Affleck’s fault. It’s just the material – or, in this case, lack-thereof.
