Over the weekend, news came to light that way back in November of last year, actor Benedict Cumberbatch became a real-life hero. Cumberbatch was reportedly riding in an Uber with his wife when he saw a man being mugged by four other men. Cumberbatch then exited the vehicle and pulled the attackers off the man, who was a delivery person for the U.K. company, Deliveroo.

For his heroic actions, Cumberbatch was thanked by the company.

The driver, Manuel Dias, spoke with The Sun about the situation.

“I had hold of one lad and Benedict another. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing. He was very brave. He did most of it, to be honest. They tried to hit him but he defended himself and pushed them away. He wasn’t injured. Then I think they also recognized it was Benedict and ran away.”

The incident happened near Baker St., the fictional home of one of the characters Cumberbatch is famous for portraying, Sherlock Holmes.

“It was only then I recognized Benedict. Then it all got a bit surreal. Here was Sherlock Holmes fighting off four attackers just round the corner from Baker Street.”

And as expected, Cumberbatch was more than humble when speaking with The Sun.

“I did it out of, well, I had to, you know . . .”

My question is, how in this day and age did someone not catch this on video?
