Last week was the premiere of the all-new Nickelodeon animated series, The Smurfs. Our little blue friends have been around for decades now. They first premiered in comics back in 1958. Then through the years, they made it to films and television series. Now here in 2021 they continue their legacy. I mean who doesn’t know about Pappa Smurf and the rest of the group?
One beloved Smurf throughout the years has been Smurfette. For years she was the only female Smurf that appeared on the series until season 5 of the 1980s animated series. Like the other character in The Smurfs, she does chores and helps out where she can. She also seems to be good at planning things. Her character (in show) was originally created by Gargamel. In order to infiltrate the Smurf village to create rifts between the Smurfs and hopefully destroy themselves.
