Hocus Pocus 2 will be here fall of 2022 with the Sanderson ‘sistaaaahs’ back and on Disney+. Bette Midler tweeted the news yesterday with the new logo and a broom emoji. Too bad there’s no vacuum emoji for her to use in her tweet. Seriously, why is there no vacuum emoji or a mop? It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 30 years since Hocus Pocus was released. The movie came out in 1993. I wonder what the Sanderson sisters will be up to this time.

What We Will Be Getting With Hocus Pocus 2
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will be returning as Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson. Filmmaker, Adam Shankman, will not be directing due to scheduling conflicts, but he will remain as an executive producer. He will be passing Hocus Pocus 2 to Anne Fletcher.

I, honestly, am not sure how I feel about Hocus Pocus 2. Recapturing the magic that Hocus Pocus had will be hard to accomplish. Hocus Pocus is a cult classic and I’m not sure what story can be told with the sequel. I’m hoping the writers have something big in mind. I didn’t see Hocus Pocus until I was an adult and I loved it. I didn’t grow up with Halloween and magic, but I can see why it’s a classic. Rotten Tomatoes ranked it 38% with an audience score of 71%. I don’t put a lot of faith in their rankings anyway. Before you tell me you feel sad for me in the comments section, just know that I’m fine. I’ve lived vicariously through my son when it comes to trick or treating and I’ll never grow up.
