Better Call Saul Showrunner Is Worried For Kim Wexler In Season 6

If Better Call Saul showrunner is worried about Kim Wexler in Season 6, then we should all be worried. Better Call Saul is exquisite TV, it’s that simple. And we know that the upcoming Season 6 will be the final season of the AMC show. Many of the characters fates move on and are explored further in Breaking Bad. However, there are some important characters from BSC that are never seen in Breaking Bad. Top of that missing list has to be Kim Wexler, or should I say McGill, since she and Jimmy just got married.

When Kim and Jimmy first got together, it felt like Kim was a good influence on Jimmy. However, as the seasons rolled by, to an inevitable conclusion for Jimmy, I expected Kim to be left behind. Instead what the audience sees, is Jimmy starting to be a bad influence on Kim. So what does happen to Kim Wexler? Will she be killed somehow? Will she have to leave Jimmy and move away? Could Kim end up doing something stupid and getting caught, losing her status and freedom? There are so many possibilities and only one season left to find the answers.

It wold be fair to say that fans of Kim are not expecting a happy ending for the character. Well, it seems like Peter Gould doesn’t expect a happy ending for Kim either. Gould is the co-creator, showrunner, executive producer, writer, and director on Better Call Saul. So I guess what he says goes, unless your name is Vince Gilligan.

Gould recently spoke to Deadline about Season 6 of Better Call Saul. Unfortunately it looks like filming won’t get underway until 2021, and you know the reason for that. However Gould was uncharacteristically open about his worries for Kim Wexler and the end of her journey.

“This season, it’s a matter of life and death for sure, and as it comes to a close, it’s a question of where her head is at,” Gould said. “Is she going down a bad choice road? She keeps moving in a direction of corner-cutting. Something that interests us is what’s legal and what feels right. Being with Jimmy has shown her, either something that she knew before or it’s made more vivid to her; the possibility of cutting corners, doing what you think is right, and causing what you feel is justice, rather than play by the rules of the system. I’m a little bit worried for her.”

Kim isn’t the only character who’s fate we await. Lalo Salamanca, and Nacho Varga are nowhere to been seen in Breaking Bad either. I cannot wait to see how this all ends in Season 6. Unfortunately I’m guessing it will be late 2021 to early 2022 before see Season 6 of BCS? Now that we know filming won’t even begin till next year it just means longer to wait. However, I’m patient, I’d rather wait a long time for gold than get tin quickly.

So Peter Gould, Better Call Saul showrunner is worried about Kim Wexler in Season 6. Are you? What do you think Kim’s fate will be? Leave your thoughts below as always.
