This one really is a Barside Buzz. A new rumor has emerged of a Better Call Saul writer working on a Marvel project as head writer/ The writer in question is Marion Dayre. A Reddit thread began with what appears to be an Instagram image saying the following.
Marion Dayre, Showrunner: TBA @marvel.
The image then goes on to list projects Dayre has worked on as a writer such as the aforementioned Better Call Saul. You can see the Reddit thread from r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers yourself below.
Better Call Saul writer Marion Dayre appears to be show runner of a upcoming Marvel Disney+ show

The one thing that raises a red flag for me is the term showrunner. Marvel Studios do not have showrunners in the traditional sense of TV. Marvel Studios so far has had a head writer, and a director, and even if they are the same person that still would not be a showrunner. Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and WandaVision all had head writers. Those were Michael Waldron, Malcolm Spellman, and Jac Schaeffer respectively.
Even if we assume this is just a mistake, and head writer is actually what she is working on. Which show would this be for? The only two shows we don’t have a head writer attached to currently are Armor Wars, and the unannounced but definitely happening Echo show. Is it possible that Dayre could be writing one of those? Sure, however this could also be for something which is not even on our radar yet, but is planned at Marvel. Off the top of my head there are many including me who think a Young Avengers series is coming.

The other possibility is, that this is nothing. This could be Dayre simply saying she wants to get a gig at Marvel Studios as a head writer. There are a few possibilities here, but it remains an interesting story nonetheless. I guess it’s going to be a case of watch this space.
Is a Better Call Saul writer working on a Marvel project? Maybe, but if they are we have no idea yet what it could be? Sound off below as always.
