Black Lightning Is Back In New Trailer

It ain’t easy being a man with superpowers. It looks like even certain superheroes can’t retire in today’s economy. Such is the basic premise of The CW’s upcoming DC series, Black Lightning, which the network released a new trailer for (you can check it out above).

With Christmas gone and January fast approaching, we are getting that much closer to seeing the beginning of The CW’s NEXT DC superhero. With Black Lightning on its way, we will be seeing the network’s fifth DC superhero show going live. However, with this one, the network will be making an effort to have this one stand alone first before actively interacting with the others. So don’t expect Flash to be hopping in and out anytime soon.

Jefferson Pierce is a man wrestling with a secret. Nine years ago, Pierce was gifted with the superhuman power to harness and control electricity, which he used to keep his hometown streets safe as the masked vigilante Black Lightning. However, after too many nights with his life and his family on the line, he left his Super Hero days behind. Almost a decade later, Pierce’s crime-fighting days are long behind him…or so he thought. But with crime and corruption spreading like wildfire, Black Lightning returns — to save not only his family, but also the soul of his community.
