Black Mirror is back, baby! Well, sort of! We’re not really getting a Black Mirror Season 5 just yet, but instead a little something called Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. So what is this interesting-looking thing? Well, it’s being advertised as a “Black Mirror Event” in the trailer, and as of right now, many are kind of looking at it as a potential movie. However, if you’ve been following our coverage, you know that it may also be something more than that.

For months, we’ve been discussing the possibility of Black Mirror going the way of the choose your own adventure. Netflix has expressed interest in doing so with an adult property in the past, and Black Mirror seemed like the best candidate. In the new trailer for the video-game-centric “episode,” we get some hints towards that. It doesn’t state it explicitly, but throughout the video, we get the tagline “Change your mind, change your life, change your past, your present, your future.” This does seem to be hinting at the possibility to you, the audience, could actually impact the story.
