Black Panther To Have Scenes Specially Formatted For IMAX

Get ready to pay that extra premium price for Marvel Studios’ upcoming film Black Panther. IMAX has announced that the film will have scenes that are specially formatted for IMAX.

Here’s what they had to say in their press release:

“This means that Director Ryan Coogler designed several sequences of the movie to fill more of the screen at an expanded IMAX 1.9:1 aspect ratio, providing fans with 26% more of the image in IMAX than standard theatres.”

In short, you’ll be seeing a lot more image on screen, and will be getting more of an immersive experience than on a normal screen. Not sold? Well, you can take a look at the image below and judge for yourself if that premium price is worth it.
