Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Disney+ Release Date Revealed

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Disney+ release date

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Disney+ release date has been revealed officially by Disney. The last few days had seen a lot of talk that the movie would hit Disney+ on January 30th. However that was incorrect, very slightly. The official release date of Wakanda Forever on Disney+ will be February 1st.

One wonders if the February date was chosen as February is black history month? Either way, I know when I’m getting to watch Wakanda Forever for the first time. I personally have been struggling to see any movie at theatres recently and they are stacking up. Given we are only 4 week’s away, I think I will now wait and catch Wakanda Forever at home.

If we go by the measuring stick of the original Black Panther, then Wakanda Forever hasn’t quite hit the box office heights of it’s predecessor. However the movie does still have several more weeks in theatres and could still beat out Multiverse of Madness as the highest grossing Marvel movie released in 2022. Luckily, despite knowing a few details, I have managed to stay away from most of the overarching plot and how it resolves in the sequel. I’m therefore looking forward to catching it.

February also sees the release of the next stage of the MCU. Wakanda Forever marked the end of Phase 4 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the first movie of Phase 5. That hits theatres this February, with GOTGv3 and then The Marvels following.

Alongside the movies we have Disney+ shows Secret Invasion, Loki Season 2, and Ironheart to come in 2023. Supposedly we are also getting Echo, but we’ve also heard rumors it could delay into 2024, so we will wait and see as the year progresses. However the one we are all waiting for to close out 2023 is the Kraven the Hunter movie from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.

As I’m sure you know, Sony’s non-MCU output of Marvel characters is always the bar by which we set our entertainment levels. Perhaps we will all be raving about Kraven in the same way we still discuss Morbius (It’s Morbin Time) now. They also say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. However, I reckon it’s just people who are terrible at being sarcastic who claim such a silly thing.

What do you think as the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Disney+ release date has been revealed as February 1st? As always, any Marvel thoughts you have, leave them below.
