Tired of having to go to Wakanda? You know, put on some pants, drive the the closest movie theater, and buy a ticket for Black Panther? I’ve been three times and it is quite the commute!

Well, in May, you can finally bring Wakanda home!

Black Panther will be available on digital, Movies Anywhere, and 4K UHD on May 8. As is recent tradition, the physical release date for the Blur-ray and DVD will follow on May 15.

That’s a pretty cushy spot for Marvel Studios, with Avengers: Infinity War only driving interest in purchasing the film further. It also sets it up nicely as a Tuesday physical release the same week Deadpool 2 opens… almost as if it is an attempt to keep you on your couch instead of in theaters that Friday, May 18.

Black Panther has broken nearly all the records there are to break, with the exception of just a few movies beating it overall at the box office. The film outgrossed Marvel’s The Avengers to become the highest grossing superhero movie of all time. Just this past weekend, Black Panther became the #3 highest grossing movie of all time domestically, passing Titanic. So far the film has grossed more than $1.3 billion worldwide, making it the #10 top-grossing film globally.

As of this point, extras are unknown, but there had better be a commentary by director Ryan Cooglar! All Blu-rays need a writer/director commentary!
