The latest Barside Buzz is that Blade gets a new writer, again and Thor 5 is to film next year. The information comes from Daniel RPK on his Patreon service. Let’s start with Blade which has been through development hell since it was announced by Marvel Studios.
According to RPK, Blade will get another rewrite after the departure of Michael Green. Marvel are currently looking for a new writer. However, he also says the basic story is now finalized and there should be no more delays, with the film set to shoot this Fall. RPK also claims that a search is on for a new male main villain. Previously it was heavily rumored that Lillith would be the main villain. However, this could have changed within rewrites.

Second up today from the same source we have some claims around Thor 5. RPK says that Thor 5 is scheduled to film in 2025. He does also say he thinks this will not come out until after Secret Wars and they are still looking for a writer and director for the film. About the only thing we know for sure on Thor 5, is that it won’t be directed by Taika Waititi, who already ruled himself out the running. Anything else is all bets off, until productions begins at least. We always get a few leaks once a movie is under cameras.
Thor definitely need a new direction for his fifth solo film. I am one of the few out there who genuinely liked Love and Thunder. However, it is clear the movie was nowhere near as popular as Ragnarok, which for is still the best Thor movie to date. It therefore makes sense that Marvel look to freshen things up.
