Bobby Farrelly is the director of the new film, Champions. Starring Woody Herrelson and Kaitlin Olson.
Woody Harrelson (“True Detective”) stars in the hilarious and heartwarming story of a former minor-league basketball coach who, after a series of missteps, is ordered by the court to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities. He soon realizes that despite his doubts, together, this team can go further than they ever imagined.
Although the filmmaker Bobby Farrelly was born from parents in the medical field his passion was in entertainment. The Rhode Island native made films that have grossed over $1 billion at the box office. Today Farrelly along with his brother, Peter Farrekky are known as the Farrelly brothers that have been behind some of today’s favorite films. Including Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary and Me, Myself and Irene. He is currently working on his next film, The Typo at Paramount and is slated for Christmas this year.
