Boon Trailer Has Atoning Former Hitman Returning to Violence

Boon starring Neal McDonough

After ending his hitman career in Red Stone, Boon vowed to atone for his sins and past actions. Due to a family that needs help, Boon returns to the life of violence in the follow-up film Boon.

The film stars Neal McDonough, Tommy Flanagan, Christiane Seidel, Jason Scott Lee, James Madio, Demetrius Grosse, and Christina Ochoa. Derek Presley directed the movie from the script written by McDonough and Presley.

Here is the official synopsis:

Mercenary Nick Boon (McDonough) is trying to atone for his life as an enforcer for a ruthless syndicate. Running from his past, Boon moves to a remote area of the Pacific Northwest where he meets a struggling widow (Seidel) and her son. When he finds the pair living in fear of a criminal kingpin (Flanagan), Boon realizes the only way to protect them is to do what he does best: kill.

The film is a direct sequel from Red Stone as a follow-up collaboration between Neal McDonough and Derek Presley. The fedora-wearing enforcer was an enjoyable character to portray that the actor wanted to do another film. The previous film was released only a few months ago. Interestingly, Tommy Flanagan can be a very intimidating villain with his looks and mannerism. No doubt the hitman still developing a conscience from a life he cannot escape. The better question to ponder is if a third one is in the works. As of now, we’ll wait and see. Let’s just hope the fedora comes back.

Boon is in theaters, On Demand, and available digitally on April 1.
