BREAKING: Avengers: Endgame To Get Re-Release With New Footage In Cinemas

We have all been wondering whether Avengers: Endgame would finally make that extra $50 million or so it needs to beat Avatar to top spot as the biggest film of all time. Well, wonder no more, because Marvel has an ace up their sleeves that should ensure the movie takes that number one spot.

Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige has told ComicBook.com that the movie is getting a re-release in theaters with some extra footage from the original theatrical version.

Here is what Feige told the outlet recently at a Spider-Man: Far From Home Press Junket.

“We are doing that. I don’t know if it’s been announced. And I don’t know how much… Yeah, we’re doing it next weekend.”

Well, I for one will probably be one of the thousands who will seriously consider going back to the theater to see what this new footage is all about. At the same time, if it’s like 30 seconds of Rocket doing a dance routine, then I might skip it for home release. However, this extra footage is pretty much bound to bring audiences back to theaters to see Avengers: Endgame one more time.

Of course, that means that it is almost a dead cert that Endgame will finally overhaul Avatar as the number one movie of all time.  As yet there is no mention of how much footage will be added or what it pertains to, but this is a cunning move by Marvel.

Stay tuned for any more details we hear about what exactly will be in this re-release and when it will hit theaters (maybe this weekend?) as we find out.
