There’s a glow around Logan right now. Hugh Jackman’s swan song as Wolverine looks like it’s going to be a very special film, and fans around the world have been excited ever since the first trailer dropped. The movie looks like it’s going to be like nothing else we’ve ever seen before from the comic book genre, with Jackman and director James Mangold telling a thoughtful, intimate, character-driven tale that doesn’t rely on the kind of glossiness we’ve grown accustomed to with big-budget superhero flicks.
This morning, Jackman took to twitter to release an official synopsis for Logan. It’s short. It’s sweet. And it is dark. Check it out right here:

The image reads:
“In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border.
But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.”
Regardless of how the final product turns out, you’ve got to hand it to Fox. The promotion for Logan has been fantastic, setting it apart from the rest of the crowded superhero landscape. Between the campaign for Logan, and the one they ran for Deadpool in 2015/16, the studio needs to give its marketing team a raise. They are killing it.
Logan will arrive on March 3.
What do you think of this simple, understated, and decidedly old-school synopsis for Logan?
