There’s something about falling in love in a foreign country. With director Brian Baugh, the beautiful backdrop of Ireland is the perfect setting for a romantic movie in Finding You.

Here’s the synopsis:

Finding You is an inspirational romantic drama full of heart and humor about finding the strength to be true to oneself. After an ill-fated audition at a prestigious New York music conservatory, violinist Finley Sinclair travels to an Irish coastal village to begin her semester studying abroad. At the B&B run by her host family, she encounters gregarious and persistent heartthrob movie star Beckett Rush, who is there to film another installment of his medieval fantasy-adventure franchise. As romance sparks between the unlikely pair, Beckett ignites a journey of discovery for Finley that transforms her heart, her music, and her outlook in life. In turn, Finley emboldens Beckett to reach beyond his teen-idol image and pursue his true passion. But when forces surrounding Beckett’s stardom threaten to crush their dreams, Finley must decide what she is willing to risk for love.

Finding You stars Rose Reid, Jedidiah Goodacre, Katherine McNamara, Patrick Bergin, Saoirse-Monica Jackson with Tom Everett Scott and Vanessa Redgrave. Brian Baugh directed and wrote the adapted screenplay. The story is based on the Jenny B. Jones novel titled, “There You’ll Find Me.”

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoked with director and writer Brian Baugh on crafting a lovely romantic story and filming it all in Ireland.

Brian Baugh graduated from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. He is a director and screenwriter, who loves telling socially relevant, and inspirational human stories. In 2016’s I’m Not Ashamed, the film was praised by audiences and nominated for a GMA Dove Award for Most Inspirational Film. For The World We Make in 2019, he directed a drama about racial acceptance.

Finding You  is in theaters this Friday, May 14.
