Brooklyn Letexier-Hart in Night Raiders

The children are a worthy investment in the future. In Night Raiders, the children are assets belonging to the government for all purposes they need, including conscription. With Brooklyn Letexier-Hart, it marks her first lead role as she tries to escape from the clutches of the government.

The dystopian story from director Danis Goulet (Wakening, Barefoot) and executive producer Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok) marks mostly indigenous cast in the spotlight, particularly with the two female leads.

Here is the synopsis:

The year is 2043. A military occupation controls disenfranchised cities in post-war North America. Children are property of the State. A desperate Cree woman joins an underground band of vigilantes to infiltrate a State children’s academy and get her daughter back. Night Raiders is a female-driven dystopian drama about resilience, courage, and love.

The film stars Elle-Maija Tailfeathers (The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open, Blood Quantum), Letexier-Hart, Alex Tarrant (Seachange, When We Go to War), Shaun Sipos (Krypton, Dark Matter), and Amanda Plummer (Hunger Games, Pulp Fiction).
