Bullet Train Trailer From Sony Looks….Fun!

What to Watch This Weekend: Bullet Train

Check out the new Bullet Train trailer from Sony Pictures. Normally, after seeing Sony on the credit I immediately set my expectations low. Perhaps that’s why I found myself strangely impressed with this trailer. Bullet Train looks like a very fun movie with a quirky premise. Check it out below.

In case you didn’t notice form the header image or the face on that trailer, Bullet Train stars Brad Pitt. I tend to feel like in his early career Pitt made some bad choices, but I always thought he was a great actor. In his later career I am really enjoying his work and the character he has created here seems to suit him. Some may wonder if this is Pitt’s John Wick, but whilst there appears to be some similarities, the tone is very different. I get the feeling Pitt’s character here is like the hippy stoner version of John Wick. Considering Wick is played by Keanu Reeves, that’s quite a thing to say.

Bullet Train was helmed by Deadpool 2 director David Leitch with a screenplay by Zak Olkewicz. The movie is based upon the book Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka, Bullet Train also stars Sandra Bullock, Joey King, Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Zazie Beetz, Logan Lerman, Masi Oka, Bad Bunny, Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Karen Fukuhara. That’s quite the ensemble cast and many were shown within the trailer itself. Just what is in that damn briefcase? I got’s to know!

Bullet Train is set to be released in theaters on July 15.

Well, what do you think? Do you agree with me that Bullet Train actually looks like a fun, quirky movie you’d like to see? Or is something feeling off for you with this Bullet Train trailer? As always, leave any thoughts you have below.
