Quentin Tarantino tends to cultivate interesting actors. More than any other director out there, he’s never one to go to the hottest actor at that particular moment. The man is a ravenous consumer of all things film and tends to gravitate towards actors who have given performances that resonate personally with him.
It’s why Tarantino has gone to some interesting names like John Travolta, Pam Grier, Robert Forster, David Carradine, and Kurt Russell. It’s with that in mind that the latest news from Variety comes as no surprise to me. According to the outlet, Burt Reynolds is currently in talks join Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Tarantino’s latest film.

Reynolds is perhaps best known for his work in the ’70s as such films as Smokey and the Bandit, Deliverance, and The Longest Yard, but he has been in the business pretty consistently for the past 50 or so years. This will likely be his highest-profile film in a good while.
Also in talks to join the film are Tim Roth, Kurt Russel, and Michael Madsen — all Tarantino regulars who most recently starred in Hateful Eight alongside one another.
Should their deals go through, they will be joining Leonardo and Brad Pitt in this homage to Hollywood in the late ’60s. What do you think of these four joining Tarantino’s latest? Let us know your thoughts down below!
