California Man Builds Replica Of Disneyland’s Matterhorn In His Backyard

What is a person to do when Disneyland is closed due to the pandemic but you really want to ride the park’s famous roller coaster, the Matterhorn? If you’re Napa, California resident Sean LaRochelle obviously you build your own Matterhorn in your back yard. LaRochelle and a small construction team build the attraction in his back yard over the course of a few months.

This backyard Matterhorn is called Matterhorn: Alpine Escape, and you can check out a sweet-ass video below.

Now that, is something truly special. However, I fear Mr.LaRochelle may have put himself in quite the pickle. You see, no one builds just one fully functioning backyard version of a Disneyland attraction. Once you experience having your own (though considerbly smaller) Disneyland there’s no going back. I wonder which ride LaRochelle will build next? I’ve subbed to his channel because I really don’t think he is done building yet. Or maybe it’s more that I hope he builds another one.

The Mouse’s kingdom is a magical one, that creates wonderful experiences for folks. Sometimes those experiences are so great that they’re recreated by acts such as the one seen above.

Growing up in central California, I was no stranger to Disneyland, but haven’t been there in years now. I would really like to get back out there, for Galaxy’s Edge if nothing else.
