Can’t Get Enough of Cobra Kai? We Sat Down With The Cast! [LRM Online Interviews]

Cobra Kai

I can’t tell you the number of friends that are reaching out to me about how great the recently added Netflix series Cobra Kai is. This series was good enough that a lot of us actually at least signed up for the free trial of YouTube Red, now known as YouTube Premium. The first season launched in 2018 and the second in 2019. The iconic Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence, and John Kreese were back.

Both seasons containing 10 great episodes that brought back nostalgic fans and a new generation of fans together. The series has a great balance between nostalgia and new interesting storylines. The problem the series had was that no one was really going to see it as people didn’t want to add another streaming service that they had to pay for.

Cobra Kai

Then in June of this year (yes 2020), Netflix had announced their acquisition of the rights to Cobra Kai. This is due to the fact that YouTube Premium was going to move away from scripted original content. This past weekend Netflix released the first two seasons on their streaming service. Quickly Cobra Kai shot up to the number one position in their rankings with no mercy. Now that the series is out and everyone is talking about it, it’s safe to say that the demand for the series is only going to continue to grow.

Last year at San Diego Comic-Con, LRMOnline had the privledge to attend a set of roundtable interviews for Cobra Kai. We had some time to converse with some of the cast from the series including Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Martin Kove, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, and Mary Mouser. You can check out the video we’ve put together for you below as they talk about their experiences in the first two seasons as well as some tidbits about the future.

WARNING! THE ROUNDTABLE INTERVIEWS WITH THE CAST OF COBRA KAI CONTAIN SEASON ONE AND SEASON 2 SPOILERS!

If your ready for more Cobra Kai, you don’t have to wait for long as Netflix has announced season 3 for sometime in 2021.

Here is the synopsis for Netflix’s Cobra Kai:
Cobra Kai takes place 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, where a now-successful Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) struggles to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of Mr. Miyagi, and must face his previous adversary, down-and-out Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), who seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo.
