Captain Carter In Doctor Strange? Atwell Talks Live-Action Captain Carter Question

Why Sam Raimi Returned To Marvel For Multiverse Of Madness

Could we see a live-action Captain Carter in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? There have already been some rumors flying around that Atwell could make an appearance as her alt-version self. Though, to discuss this even further, we are going to have to spoil some aspects of What If Captain Carter Were The First Avenger. The first What If…? episode released today.

Therefore I have to issue a SPOILER warning for What If…? Episode 1 before we go on.

In the Captain Carter episode the Red Skull’s plans are changed from what we see in the first Cap movie. Instead Red Skull endeavors to use the Tesseract to pull a champion through from another dimension. This creature looks awful like Shuma Gorath, one of the rumored villain of Multiverse of Madness? If Carter already helped defeat Shuma in her own Universe, might she be of aid to Doctor Strange in ours? On it’s own I’d say no, but there are those rumors about Atwell being in Multiverse of Madness to consider?

As for what Hayley Atwell thinks of a live-action Captain Carter, the actress spoke to USA Today recently and was asked that question.

With “brilliant” screenwriters such as Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Emerald Fennell “breaking through and adding multi-layered and bold qualities to their female characters, the possibility of Peggy getting an opportunity to take the helm in a far more ambitious way does excite me,” she says. “I would invest fully in a process where the right creative team was put together to pave the way for Peggy to tap into the cultural consciousness of today and become a modern heroine of our times. I wouldn’t settle for less than what she and the fans deserve.”

Would Atwell be believable as Captain Carter though? She’d definitely have to bulk up to play the super soldier version, unless they did it with some sort of padding. Then again that was done for a ton of male heroes over the years. Other than that, I’d definitely be up for seeing some live-action Captain Carter, she kicks ass. But is Captain Carter in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? We’re going to have to wait and see on that one. sound off below as always.
