Captain Marvel 2 is ‘gearing up’ says Brie Larson!
Larson will once again reprise her role as Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers in the sequel to the first Captain Marvel movie. Since the original Captain Marvel was set back in the ’90’s, a lot will have changed when we see Carol again. For a start, the epic events of Infinity War and Endgame have brought Carol back home to Earth. Equally, Monica Rambeau, is no longer a child and we will get to see the adult version next in WandaVision. However, the character of Monica is also expected to make an appearance in Captain Marvel 2, currently slated for a 2022 release.
As said, according to Larson Captain Marvel 2 is gearing up. One assumes she means that pre-production work is getting underway. As for Larson, she seems to be getting ready to start a work out leading up to filming. Here is what she said on her latest YouTube video, which you can find Here.
“As you may know, Captain Marvel 2 is gearing up, I can’t say much more about it other than that, but I’m gonna get ready for it. It’s time for me to get moving.”

I was not a massive fan of Captain Marvel, I did not dislike it, but something wasn’t right for me. I much preferred seeing Danvers in Avengers: Endgame, even though she only appeared a little. In Captain Marvel 2 I’m looking for Marvel to really showcase Carol’s powers, and give her threats appropriate to her pretty high ceiling. I therefore have pretty much only one wish from Captain Marvel 2. No matter what the plot revolves around, I want to see Carol have to work hard to save the day. Carol is stronger than even Thanos, so let’s give her some real bad-ass bad guys to smash please.
