Oscar Isaac As Moon Knight Confirmed By Cinematographer

I’m sure this news won’t surprise anyone at this point, but we our first confirmation of Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight. It has long been reported, albeit unofficially that Isaac had signed on to play Marc Spector in Marvel Studios Moon Knight. Moon Knight will be a Disney+ show set within the already established MCU.

Moon Knight is currently dated for some time in 2022. Marvel’s recent slate announcement has Moon Knight listed after She-Hulk on Disney+ for 2022. I would therefore guess we are looking at the first half of 2022 for Moon Knight, but that’s just a guess. Moon Knight cinematographer Gregory Middleton recently posted about the show on Instagram. Middleton essentially became the first official source to say that Isaac was playing Spector.

“Well the secret is out. It’s an honor to be a part of introducing a new character to the MCU #Moon Knight,” he says in this Instagram post. “Who says cinematographers worry about white costumes! Not if they are complex characters played by an amazing performer like [Oscar Isaac].”

As things stand, we don’t yet know what to expect from Moon Knight. However, one would guess that the tone of Moon Knight, even if PG-13 would be more adult than most of the MCU outside of Netflix. I guess we don’t know that, but maybe that’s just what we fans want, so expect? Given the story heavily involving Spector’s complicated mental state and is also pretty violent, I would not bet against it.

It’s also mad to think that She-Hulk, I’m guessing the MCU’s lightest show, will come before what could be their darkest show. Oscar Isaac has not had much luck when it comes to the big two of Star Wars and Marvel. Isaac played Apocalypse in the disastrous X-Men movie of the same name. Isaac also starred as Poe Dameron in the latest, and quite terrible Star Wars sequel trilogy. Lets’ hope that Dune and Moon Knight will cement Isaac better into fans hearts.

Are you looking forward to see Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight? Thoughts below as always.
