Captain Marvel is just a few weeks away from hitting the big screen, and with it, Marvel Studios will finally have a female superhero at the forefront. As of right now, tracking for this movie is looking really good (or as our buddy Chris Pratt would say, “Off the chain.”), potentially taking in around $100 million in its opening weekend alone. So, needless to say, plenty of folks are feeling pretty bullish about its overall prospects.

So, it’s no surprise that many of us are already looking ahead to a sequel, and that includes the movie’s star Brie Larson. When speaking at a cast panel discussion in Singapore (captured by ABC News), she mentioned one superhero, in particular, she’d like to see Carol Danvers work with in some capacity down the line.

“I mean my dream would be that Ms. Marvel gets to come into play in the sequel. That’s the goal.”

For those not in the know, Ms. Marvel (aka Kamala Khan) is a teen Inhuman who has the ability to stretch and “embiggen” her body parts. She’s also a notable fangirl-type character, and very much embodies the fangirl and fanboy culture we currently live in, and as a result, she’s a huge fan of Captain Marvel and obviously looks up to her quite a bit. In many ways, I can see their relationship play out kind of like how Tony and Peter’s relationship is currently in the MCU.

But not only would this, for the first time, bring a young teen girl into the mix, but a Muslim American as well, and we do know that Marvel Studios is working hard to bring more diversity to their films in the future, so this likely falls right into their strategy.
