Marvel Studios has a tone of crazy magicians working for them. In addition to the magic they bring to the screen on a pretty regular basis, they’ve also consistently been improving on the technology surrounding the aging and deaging of certain actors. We saw it utilized in films like Captain America: The Winter Soldier to age up Peggy Carter, and we also saw it used in Ant-Man to age down Hank Pym.
But that’s not all. One huge aspect of Captain Marvel is Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury. The character was first introduced to us back in 2008’s Iron Man, and he’s since been one of the many recurring characters in this whole universe. With Captain Marvel taking place in the ’90s, it was essential that they use some of that same buttery tech on Jackson in the flick.
