Carrie Fisher’s Dog, Gary, To Appear As An Alien In The Last Jedi

The inseparable companion of the late Carrie Fisher has been spotted in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. An eagle eyed fan noticed Fisher’s famous French bulldog in the background of a scene from the film that features John Boyega’s Finn and Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose Tico.

The pup will be given some CGI enhancements and will play an alien in the upcoming second installment of the new trilogy. In fact, we’ve already seen him in a released photo.

Being an animal lover myself, I think putting Fisher’s dog, Gary, in the film was a great idea and just another sign of how much Fisher and the character of Princess Leia are loved by fans. Fisher’s Princess Leia was a great example of a strong, independent woman that didn’t need any saving, she was tough as nails and a formidable adversary. Leia will always be one of more iconic characters of the franchise and Fisher will be immortalized by her portrayal of the character.

Folks, we are one week away from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, as I have said in other articles, the last week is always the toughest to get through, it seems time moves slower.
